We are currently studying two different types of progesterone
in IVF cycles and have a limited number of spots open for new
patients. To be eligible for this study you need to be 34 years
of age or lower with a body mass index of 37 or less. You need
to be a non-smoker off of any hormone treatment for at least
30 days and off any clomid treatment for 3 months. Eligible participants
would receive approximately $9,000 off the cost of an IVF cycle.
If your interested please call our new patient coordinators.
In an effort to provide the highest pregnancy rates possible
at Southeastern Fertility Center we have been very active in research
protocols involving in-vitro fertilization (IVF) and Ovulation
Induction and Intrauterine Insemination. We have been participating
in a number of studies sponsored by the pharmaceutical industry
which allows potential patients the opportunity to use newer medications
and treatment protocols. These research opportunities often provide
a financial discount to enrolled patients.
Studies
are typically "first come first serve" for qualifying
patients. If you are interested in participating in a study, we
therefore recommend that you call our office to have your name
placed on our potential study list. Once a study comes along that
you may qualify for we will contact you with the study details.
If you are interested in participating
in upcoming studies please call our new patient coordinators at
843-881-3900.
Ongoing Areas of Research
We
are also very excited about the enhanced pregnancy rates with
extended embryo culture to the blastocyst stage and have been
one of the leading centers in blastocyst culture and embryo cryopreservation.
These studies have been presented at numerous conferences and
are published in peer-reviewed journals.
An atraumatic embryo transfer is also crucial in maintaining
a high success rate. We adhere to very strict transfer protocols
and are in the process of studying the effects of antibiotic administration
in lowering cervical bacterial counts and the effects on pregnancy
rates.
Our research provides numerous advantages to our patients. Our
ongoing research helps us maintain high pregnancy rates by allowing
us to investigate those factors important in pregnancy. In addition,
some studies offer incentives to participating patients such as
free medications and/or procedures.
