Rodney
oversees and coordinates all activities in the embryology laboratory,
including all in-vitro fertilization (IVF) procedures, intracytoplasmic
sperm injections (ICSI) and embryo cryopreservation as well as
research, editing and preparation of manuscripts.
He received a bachelor's degree from the University of Georgia
and a Master's degree from Clemson University. Rodney majored
in reproductive physiology. He is licensed by the American Board
of Bioanalysts (ABB) as Embryology Laboratory Director and Technical
Supervisor in embryology and andrology.
Rodney started one of the early human IVF programs in 1983. He has been director of several IVF programs in the United States prior to joining Southeastern Fertility Center in January of 2000. He has served as a consultant to numerous IVF programs in the United States and abroad.
He works with zoos and conservation centers evaluating the fertility of endangered species using artificial reproductive technologies to breed endangered animals.
He is a member of ASRM, the College of Reproductive Biologists, American Board
of Bioanalysts, the International Embryo Transfer Society, Committee member
for Companion, non-domestic and endangered species. Member Scientific Review
Board, Lowry Park Zoo, Tampa, Florida.
